Aristotle's Turtle

This piece was constructed by Stephen Coburn as an homage to the belief by the Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, that the world existed on the back of a giant sea turtle-a belief that also appears in many Indigenous Australian beliefs as well.
Made from mild steel, located in the collection of the artist.
