Whispering Casuarina #1

Created by Stephen Coburn from mild steel, this piece was his first Casuarina nut, and was exhibited at Sculpture at Hunter's Hill. Stephen was walking along a beach in Tasmania, and spotted the intriguing shape of a Casuarina nut. He was then inspired to create his own. Since this first sculpture, Stephen has been commissioned to make a number of varying Casuarina nuts.
Currently located in a private collection.
